Moose With Mug

Tangled String Theory

Last night Mrs. Moose and I finally got the opportunity to meet madwriter, his wife whingnut and a bunch of his other friends and LJ users, most notably mauzybroadway. We had a wonderful time and would have loved to spend more time speaking with Madwriter ourselves. However, given the size of the group and the amount of time we had, we certainly aren't complaining.

I didn't mention it last week, but it's likely that Monday night's softball games were the last of the year for me. I went out on a high note, going 3-4 with a double and a couple runs scored. Maybe there's even a small chance I can get myself back in shape for the start of the next season this spring -- I'm obviously in the decline phase of my career and I need to do whatever it takes to squeeze whatever is left out the talent I still have.

Speaking of which, does anyone know where I can get some of "the clear?" I'm not playing MLB, so I'm certain I can get away with it.

The first week at the new job has gone reasonably well. Other than that, I really don't have too much to report about it.

So far, the Phillies have not managed to seduce me into thinking they are a legitimate playoff shot. However, just in case, I'm giving carte blanche to friends and family to smack me around should I start showing any irrational exuberance over their performance.
