Moving On

It looks like I will have an apartment I can afford. Tomorrow morning I will be dropping off the rental application and a check for the various fees to rent a 1-bedroom that is a 45-minute drive from the office. I really do wish it was closer to the office (and that it was a 2-bedroom), but you do what you have to do and then take it from there. Unfortunately, do to timing issues, I'll be overlapping rents on the two apartments for one week, but the good news there is that I will be renting the new place starting a week early (much cheaper than renting the current place for an additional week while waiting for something else at the new complex to open up). This also gives me the option of bringing over smaller boxes in advance -- I'm going to make the actual move on the weekend of June 28, as I originally planned.

Once the lease is confirmed and signed, I'll be able to breathe a huge sigh of relief and then be able to focus on packing and prepping for the eventful day, which I'm sure is going to be a little more emotional than any of my previous moves. On the other hand, it will be nice to finally close this chapter of my life and move on to the next one.
