The Wonder of Tank

There are some times, like this evening at bedtime, where just being Tank's dad seems to make all the difficulties in life melt away. After he finished brushing he teeth, he suddenly turned to me, smiled a big cheesy grin, hugged me and said, "I love you, Daddy."

I've been blessed with a wonderful son, and while there are times when I want to kick and scream at the universe for a multitude of things, moments like the one this evening suddenly make everything okay in my world, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Oh, I almost forgot to add one final detail. After finishing the hug and pulling away, he then farted and ran away giggling. The thing is... it just made me love the moment more. I know -- I'm not your typical dad. :-)

  • 12:03 Just to clarify that last statement: a clearly-worded, one-page form that only requires about a dozen pieces of information. #
