Next Issue of Some Fantastic, and Its Future

Earlier today I decided that there was no way that I was going to be able to post the October issue of Some Fantastic on time. So, I decided that rather than attempt to post it as soon as possible *and* get a December issue online on schedule, I will make the next issue an Oct/Dec issue.

I was already leaning toward making this decision before getting the news this morning that justjayj can no longer continue as co-editor of Some Fantastic. I really do appreciate everything she did to help with the 'zine this year, and her presence will sorely be missed. I wish her all the best on the project that will now consume her creative energies. She came on board as co-editor at a critical time, when I lacked the resources necessary to edit the 'zine all by myself. I am not exaggerating when I say that it's very likely Some Fantastic's run would have already ended without her presence.

Unfortunately, at this time I am unsure whether I will be able to resume as the sole individual behind Some Fantastic. Hence, this is the other reason for making the next issue an Oct/Dec issue. This will provide me with extra time before the scheduled February issue -- time I will use to determine whether I can move forward alone and/or attempt to find someone else who can step in as co-editor. I will try to make these decisions as quickly as possible following the posting of that issue.
