Cumulative loss: 5.6
Lbs. away from revised goal: 11.2
When following my normal weight loss regimen, I have everything arranged so that I can have one "bad" day every week. That day I eat what I want and do not track caloric intake. Although I certainly do not to let my inner fat bastard take control, it helps me prevent myself from feeling denied. Because right now I am actually trying to get my blood pressure numbers back into normal ranges fairly quickly, I'm only allowing myself a "bad" meal once per week until my next visit to the doctor's office. Having never done this before, I didn't set any expectations for what this would mean for my weight loss numbers -- assuming I'm stuck to this plan.
This week I did, and it suggests that all other factors being equal it results in roughly an extra ½ lb./week. Regardless of the final result in this effort to quickly get my hypertension back under control, it's interesting to see what this change means. If I stick to plan again this week, I'll get a better idea of how what I can expect in coming weeks if I decide to maintain this dietary change beyond my doctor's visit, which is two weeks from yesterday.
